The traditional ice cream parlor, La Basque, brought a delightful challenge to the table. Although its premium products had been available in supermarkets for decades, the company felt the need to re-establish direct contact with its consumers through its own physical stores.
We then developed a concept for stores and kiosks focused on product consumption and reinforcing the emotional connection with customers. We combined art deco aesthetics with modern elements, with a resultant predominance of sinuous lines and curved shapes. The palette was inspired by ice cream flavors, with creamier textures and tones, in contrast to the brand’s blue color, as well as accents in gold on the frames of the menus, the bases of the counters and the friezes of the shop windows.
With the aim of highlighting the products, the main window was strategically located near the entrance, displaying the ice creams in a very appealing way. Finally, a panel explaining the history of La Basque and its products adds to the “instagrammable” character of the environment.
The impact among consumers was enormous, and it brought a complete experience with the brand’s universe and its flavors. The success was such that it resulted in the expansion of stores and kiosks using the same concept, in a rollout project also developed for the client.
