The Bolo ao Forno! store, which specializes in homemade cakes, features a contemporary reinterpretation of a “grandmother’s kitchen” by bringing together iconic elements such as a wall of red cobogós, a vintage stove in the store window and light fittings with teapot domes.
Noble finishes such as bricks, mineral paint and cementitious cladding were introduced on the façade to balance out the retro look. Cake shapes are the concept’s main inspiration, present in the light fittings, in the pattern of the exclusive wallpaper and in the collection displayed on one of the walls. In addition to the architectural project, Estúdio Jacarandá developed the brand’s Visual Merchandising, naming and visual identity.
